H. Flynn Succumbs To Pneumonia

Hugh Flynn, superintendent of the San Rafael Municipal Baths, lost his battle against pneumonia last Sunday when he collapsed on a Northwestern Pacific ferryboat and died a few hours later at the San Rafael Emergency Hospital.

Unavailingly, Flynn’s friends had sought for several days to get the sick man to go to a hospital for treatment. Despite the fact that he was suffering from a high fever and other symptoms of serious illness, he believed that he would “wear it out.”

Flynn had been a faithful employee of the city for several years, managing in an efficient manner the Municipal Baths. He had many friends here who regret his untimely passing. He was 52 years of age.

The funeral was held Tuesday under the direction of the F. E. Sawyer Company.
