HERBERT FLORANCE
At his own request, no funeral will be held for Herbert C. Florance of Oakland, a former Marin County resident, who died of a heart attack Saturday while on a weekend trip to Sonora. Contributions to the Marin County Heart fund are preferred.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Florance, 58, had lived in California periodically over the past 30 years. He lived in Tiburon from 1948 to 1950 and in Greenbrae from 1962 to 1967.
He was employed as an engineer for KGO-TV in San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Florance of Oakland; two sons, Herbert C. Florance Jr. and Thomas vanderRee both of Oakland; two daughters, Lee Florance of San Rafael and Jeanne Zanzi of Corte Madera; and three grandchildren.
