Arthur F. Martin, 87, of Mill Valley, died Wednesday at Marin General Hospital.
Arrangements are pending at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.

ARTHUR F. MARTIN
Private services were held today for Arthur F. Martin of Mill Valley.
He died Wednesday at Marin General Hospital after a long illness. He was 88 (sic).
He was a retired proofreader for the San Francisco Chronicle.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Mae Martin; and a sister, Grace E. Kidd of Sacramento.
He was a native of San Francisco.
He served in the military during World War I.
He was a member of the International Typographers Union.
Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
