MURIEL F. WHITTAKER
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the San Geronimo Presbyterian Church for Muriel Florence Whittaker, a 28-year resident of Lagunitas. She died unexpectedly Sunday, July 10, 1988, at her home. She was 70.
She was a native of Wakefield, Mass.
She had been a homemaker.
Mrs. Whittaker was involved in charity work for church organizations and senior citizens. She was a member of the San Geronimo Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Whittaker was an animal lover and bred cats who won honors in numerous shows. She also bred Doberman dogs and at one time operated the Teeny Weeny Dog Kennel in San Geronimo.
She is survived by a brother, David Ryder of Arcadia, Los Angeles County, and a sister, Eveline Tonks of New Hampshire. Her husband, Israel Whittaker, died earlier.
Her family asked that memorial contributions go to the Marin Humane Society.
