MARGARET M. RAWEL
San Anselmo resident
Margaret M. Rawel, a longtime San Anselmo resident, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1990, at CareWest Bayside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kentfield after a two-month illness. She was 87.
She was born in San Francisco and had lived in San Anselmo since 1947.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Rawel was a member of St. Anselm’s Youth Ladies Institute.
She was an advocate for the rights of the retarded and underprivileged.
Survivors are a daughter, Patricia Swanfelt of San Rafael; a son, Charles Rawel of Orville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Marin Aid to Retarded Children, 70 Skyview Terrace, San Rafael, 94903, or a favorite charity.
