HELEN LOUISE AMICK
Active Marin painter

Helen Louise Amick of San Anselmo, a longtime Marin resident, died Tuesday, May 8, 1990, at home after a long illness. She was 69.

Miss Amick was a native of Idaho. She was a graduate of the University of Washington, where she studied art.

Miss Amick had lived in Marin for 35 years.

She worked about 30 years as a proofreader for H.S. Crocker Co., a San Francisco printing firm.

Miss Amick was a member of the Marin Society of Artists and showed oil paintings and drawings at a gallery in the Marin Art and Garden Center.

She is survived by several cousins.

A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the art gallery at the Marin Art and Garden Center.

Memorial contributions are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
