RUTH VIRGINIA BUTLER

Ruth Virginia Butler of Canoga Park, Los Angeles County, a former longtime resident of Mill Valley, died Sunday, July 24, 1988, at a Canoga Park nursing home. She was 85.

She was born in Berkeley, where she attended Anna Heads School, a finishing school.

She spent two years in Afghanistan and two more in Indonesia traveling with her husband while he worked on construction projects.

She lived in Mill Valley from 1948 to 1968.

Her husband of 45 years, Daniel C. Butler, died earlier.

Mrs. Butler is survived by one son, Daniel C. Butler of San Rafael, and a daughter, Pamela C. Butler of Chatsworth, Los Angeles County.

At her request, there will be no service.
