G. H. POWELL HUMPHREY
G. H. Powell Humphrey, a Santa Rosa real estate man and developer, died Monday in a local convalescent hospital following a short illness. He was 63.
A native of Stockton, Humphrey grew up in San Francisco and graduated from Stanford University.
He was vice-president of the Sutro-Forest Development Co. and president of G. H. Powell Humphrey Inc., both of San Francisco. Most recently he worked for Valley of the Moon Realty in Sonoma County.
Humphrey was involved in real estate and development in Marin, Sonoma and San Francisco counties.
He was a member of the Olympic Club, a director of the Sonoma board of Realtors, a state director of the California Association of Realtors and past director of the San Francisco Board of Realtors.
Humphrey is survived by his wife Audrey; four sons, Martin Humphrey of Stockton, Michael Otoshi of Lucerne Valley in San Bernardino County, Charles Marsh of El Cajon in San Diego County, and Mark Marsh of Kenwood; and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Neptune Society. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family prefers memorial contributions to the St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Mont. 59004.
