JEAN SCOTT
Died peacefully at home in San Rafael on August 24th, 2002 after bravely battling a short illness. She is survived by her son Rick Taaffe and his wife Sallee, daughter Shawna Smith and her husband Dan; grandchildren Shannon and Todd Taaffe and his wife Kristi and Ryan and Tenille Smith and great grandson Alexzander Taaffe. She was born in Benton, Illinois in 1924, raised in Chicago and moved to Marin in 1948. Until her retirement she was an office manager and bookkeeper for several automotive dealerships around Marin. Jean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Jean's Life, Saturday, September 7, 1 to 3 p.m. at 2250 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, CA 94925.
