CARLOS J. FONSECA

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carlos J. Fonseca, a San Rafael resident, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Star of the Sea Church in San Francisco.

Mr. Fonseca died Sunday, March 13, 1988, at Greenbrae Convalescent Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 79.

He had lived in San Francisco since 1928 and moved to San Rafael two years ago.

Mr. Fonseca was the former president of the Pan American Chamber of Commerce, a private consulting business.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Fonseca, and two sons, Carlos Fonseca Jr. and Charles Fonseca, all of San Rafael.

Friends may call for visitation after 4 p.m. today at Evergreen Mortuary of McAvoy O’Hara Co. in San Francisco. A rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight at the mortuary.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
