Helen Jones Dies On Auto Trip

The Mill Valley woman who died of a heart attack near Redding yesterday has been identified at Helen Fairchild Jones of 36 Fern avenue.

She was the widow of William D. Jones, who died in 1949.

Mrs. Jones was stricken while riding in an auto on Highway 44 at Millville, Shasta County, northeast of Redding. Driver of the car was C. J. Rennie of Mill Valley, lifetime friend and neighbor.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Mill Valley. A native of Pennsylvania, she had lived in Mill Valley since 1925.

She leaves no children, but several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Russell and Gooch Memorial Chapels, Mill Valley.
