Tom Irving Dies At Pt. Reyes Home

In the death of Thomas P. Irving last Monday Point Reyes Station lost one of its best known and universally popular citizens.

“Tom”, as he was called by everybody, had the good will and friendship of every man he had ever met. The supreme test of a man’s character comes with the verdict of those who know him best, and in Point Reyes, where Tom spent his entire life, no man can be found who has aught of ill to say of him.

A victim of tuberculosis, and aware for years of the nature of his malady the deceased was ever cheerful in the fact of the ultimate.

The funeral was held Tuesday at his late residence and was attended by a great number of friends and relatives of the family. The ceremony was under the direction of Dr. F. E. Sawyer. Interment was made at Olema.

The deceased was 49 years and 7 months of age. He is survived by a widow, Sylvia A. Irving and five children, James P., Grace M., Harry T., William J. and Bernice Irving.
