Mrs. Dinkelspiel
Rosary services for Mrs. Ellen Gaines Dinkelspiel, 93, a resident of California since the 1870a, were conducted last night at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial was to be private.
Mrs. Dinkelspiel, who died at a Ross hospital Saturday after a long illness, had lived for the past three and one-half years at 1126 Sir Francis Drake, Kentfield.
She had lived for many years in Suisun, Solano County, where her husband, the late Edward Dinkelspiel, served both as mayor and city judge.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., she was brought by her parents to California as an infant. She was graduated from University of California in 1901, also attended San Francisco Normal School, and teaching (sic) until her marriage.
Survivors include two sons, Richard C. Dinkelspiel of Kentfield and Edward Gaines Dinkelspiel of Portland, Ore., and six grandchildren.

In the Monday, June 4, 1963 issue of the paper, a death notice mentions the grandchildren: Paul, Susan, Robin, Joan, Anne and Richard.
