Young Wife Dies, Influenza Victim
The happy home of John Pender, Fifth Avenue near G, was saddened by the death of his beloved wife, Mrs. Mabel Hazel Pender, from pneumonia last Saturday evening.
She was ill only a few days and her hopes were high until the last hour. Dr. H. O. Hund was attending the sick woman.
Mrs. Pender was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and after her marriage moved to San Rafael, where her husband was employed by the California Motion Picture Co. and made this city her home.
Funeral services were held in Sawyer’s Undertaking Parlors, last Monday evening, Rev. G. M. Cutting officiating.
The body will remain in Mount Tamalpais cemetery vault until Mr. Pender is ready to return to New York on business. The body will be buried in Brooklyn.
She is survived by her devoted husband, and father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Nugent, all residing in San Rafael.
