ANNA M. LEONHARD
Operated retirement home
Anna Meta Leonhard, a longtime San Rafael resident, died Friday, March 9, 1990, at the Rafael Convalescent Hospital. She was 86.
Mrs. Leonhard was born in Flensburg, Germany, and came to the United States in 1921.

She retired at the age of 65 and the property was leased to an agency offering treatment for substance abuse.
Her husband died in 1978.
Mrs. Leonhard moved to a retirement community in Petaluma in 1984 and returned to San Rafael in 1988 when she entered the convalescent hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Arnold Leonhard of Rough and Ready and Lloyd Leonhard of San Rafael; a daughter, Claire Morse of San Rafael; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ, 825 Middlefield Drive, Petaluma.
