Death of a Bride
How inexpressibly sad are those four words. Saturday last, the bright, pure spirit of Mary Theresa McGivney Chisholm passed away. Mrs. Chisholm was a native of San Francisco. Her personal attractions were of a high order, and her mental endowments very superior. She graduated from the State Normal School, but 10 months ago with high honors, and with the tenderest love of her class and all her associates. She was a member in high standing of the order of Sociality of St. Ignatius church. Two months after she was married to our esteemed townsman, A. J. Chisholm, and they twain had laid the foundation for a happy home and long life. But six short months have passed, and the bride’s place is vacant, and her lover husband is bent under the weight of a bitter sorrow. The sad funeral took place Monday, the interment being in the city of her birth. We extend to the stricken parents and husband the deepest sympathy, which was also manifested by a wide circle of friends of the lovely young woman.
