Alice A. Ross

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice A. Ross, a longtime Petaluma resident, was offered today in Petaluma.

Mrs. Ross died Tuesday at a local hospital after an illness. She was 85.

A native of San Francisco, she moved to Petaluma after the 1906 earthquake and fire. She married George Ross in 1917. He died in 1946.

Mrs. Ross had worked for six years at a Petaluma dress shop. She had also been a member of the Petaluma Golf and Country Club, Petaluma Woman's Club and Hillcrest Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Donald Ross of Petaluma, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Entombment was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
