MAE E. CONNELL

Mae E. Connell, 91, of Nob Hill Terrace, Petaluma, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness.

Born in Nevada City, Nev. Mrs. Connell was one of the first graduates of the University of Nevada and taught school for many years at Coleville, Mono County. Her husband, the late Virgil S. Connell, owned and operated a large sheep and cattle ranch at Carson Valley, Nev., for many years. In 1949 they retired and moved to Petaluma.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Parent Funeral Home, Petaluma, and at 2 p.m., Friday at the Coleville Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Coleville Cemetery.
