COTTRELL, Francis X. Rev. Msgr. - Passed away July 31, 2002; dear uncle of Richard, Kevin, Brendan and Jamie Cottrell all of Marin County, Jeniffer (Cottrell) Meheiz of Pengrove and Patricia (Cottrell) Marks of West Covina; dear brother-in-law of Nancy Cottrell of Marin County and brother of the late Richard I. Cottrell; deeply mourned by Gerald Donovan and the Donovan Family of Boston, MA as well as numerous relatives in California. A native of Boston, MA and long time resident of Santa Clara County. Age 77. Retired Pastor of St. Martin Catholic Church in Sunnyvale and St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Los Altos. Remembered for his gentleness, compassion, humor and his deep faith. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 5, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Martin Church, 590 Central Avenue, Sunnyvale. A Vigil Service will be Sunday at 7:00 P.M. also at St. Martin Church. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos. Visitation will begin Sunday at 5:00 P.M. at St. Martin Church. In lieu of flowers it is suggested that contributions be sent to the Fr. Cottrell Center. c/o St. Martin Church or St. Joseph Priest Retirement Residence in Cupertino.
