MARK E. GARCIA
Retired postal worker
Mark E. Garcia of Petaluma, who was raised and educated in San Rafael, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1993, at 44.
Mr. Garcia worked for the Mission San Rafael branch of the post office for 25 years.
He moved to Petaluma in 1972, where he began coaching for the Petaluma Girls Softball Association. He coached for seven years.
Mr. Garcia enjoyed the outdoors and was a deer hunter.
He is survived by two daughters, Nanette Garcia of Petaluma and Katie Mars of Petaluma; his parents, Edwin and Virgie Garcia of Kentfield, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 415 A St., Petaluma, 94952.
Private burial will be in Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma.
