McLOUGHLIN, Mabel S. -- Mabel Louise Simons McLoughlin on November 21, 2001. Born in New Orleans to the late Roger and Alma Cardon Simons; beloved wife of the late Charles Bernard Thiede of New York by her first marriage; and the late James J. McLoughlin, Jr. of New Orleans by her second marriage. She was a retired employee of Field Research in San Francisco, a homemaker, a devout Catholic and a teacher of catechism at Holy Angels parish in Colma. Survivors include two sons: Michael Thiede McLoughlin of Berrien Springs, Michigan, and Patrick McLoughlin of El Macero, California; one stepson James J. McLoughlin III of San Mateo; and three daughters: Elizabeth Thiede McLoughlin Sanders of Novato, Kathleen McLoughlin Miramon of Austin, and Maureen McLoughlin of Redwood City; 13 grandchildren: Derek, Kevin, Patrick and Emily McLoughlin of Berrien Springs, Christopher Sanders of Novato, Eric, Briana, Ian and Alana Miramon of Austin, Katherine and Brian McLoughlin of San Mateo and Meaghan and Kellen McLoughlin of El Macero; three great-grandchildren: Madison, Jackson, and Caroline Kate McLoughlin of Berrien Springs; three sisters: Dorothy Souchon of San Antonio, and Alma Perret and Carroll Saunders of New Orleans; one son-in-law: Thomas Clunie Sanders; three daughters-in-law: Susie, Katherine and Jeanie McLoughlin. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 27, 2001, at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 107 San Pedro Road, Colma, CA. The Rosary will be held on Monday, November 26, 2001 at 7:00 PM at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, CA. Remembrances may be made in her name to Kainos Home and Training Center, 3631 Jefferson Ave., Redwood City, CA 94062. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel in Davis, CA.
