PAUL ZIMMERMAN
Graveside services for Paul F. Zimmerman, 55, of Claremont, Los Angeles County, one-time San Rafael resident, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
Zimmerman, western regional manager for Libby Products Division, died Sunday in Claremont after a short illness.
He previously had worked for Libby out of the Merchandise Mart in San Francisco, and had lived in San Rafael for a short time in the late 1940s. He was a native of Richmond.
Zimmerman was a member of the advisory board of Mount St. Joseph's Orphanage in San Francisco, a member of St. Mary's College Associates, the Knights of Columbus and the Sierra Club.
He served as a captain in the infantry during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, three sons, Stephen, William and Peter, and four daughters, Jane, Joanne, Mary and Susanne, all of Claremont, and three brothers, Carl H. of San Rafael, Frederick A. of Mill Valley, and J. William Zimmerman of Kentfield.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Claremont. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the church.
