Marinite’s Brother Succumbs At 54
Clarence V. McIntosh of San Francisco, veteran engineering officer with Matson Navigation Co. and brother of Mrs. Joseph Carroll of San Rafael, died yesterday in a San Francisco hospital after a long illness. He was 54.
A seafarer since he was 15, McIntosh was chief engineer of the Navy hospital ship Repose during World War II. He was a commander in the Naval Reserve.
Besides Mrs. Carroll, he is survived by his wife, Esther; two sons, William and Robert; his mother, Mrs. Rhonda McIntosh; another sister, Mrs. Rose Brown, and two brothers, Russell and Judson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Halsted and Co. Mortuary, San Francisco. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, Colma.
