Percy R. Mahoney Dies In Rest Home

Funeral services for Percy R. Mahoney of Corte Madera will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church, Corte Madera.

Mahoney, 85, died yesterday at a local rest home, where he had been for two weeks. He had been in failing health for several years.

He came to Marin County with his wife, Laura, last September. They shared the home of their granddaughter, Mrs. Barbara Garrett, at 49 Paloma drive.

The Mahoneys lived in Anaheim for 10 years before coming here, but spent many years in Portland, Ore. Mahoney was a salesman for Sunstrand adding machine firm in Portland before retiring.

He was born in Richmond, Va. and lived in Washington, D.C. and Chicago before coming to the West Coast. He was affiliated with Woodmen of the World in Portland.

In addition to Mrs. Mahoney and Mrs. Garrett, survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Gladys Okerlund of Los Angeles; a grandson, Richard Okerlund of Torrance, Los Angeles County; and three great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, with Chapel of the Hills of San Anselmo making local arrangements.
