EMMA PRENDERGAST
Emma Prendergast of San Rafael, a homemaker and long-time Bay Area resident, died Saturday at a local convalescent hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Prendergast, 97, was a resident of San Leandro before coming to Marin 16 months ago and had lived in the Bay Area most of her adult life. She was the widow of Maurice T. Prendergast, a gardener for the city of Oakland.
She was a native of Guatemala and had been in California 84 years.
Surviving are a son, Maurice T. Prendergast of Auburn, a daughter, Davina Kosh of San Rafael, four grandchildren and13 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be at 11 am.m Wednesday at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was predeceased by a daughter, Glory Prendergast, and survived by grandchildren Albert F. Kosh Jr. of Petaluma, Jack Eisen of Washington, D.C., Maurice T. Prendergast Jr. of San Mateo and Mrs. Susan Toulemonde of Paris, France.
