Harold E. Geary
Passed away peacefully at home in San Rafael on February 17, 2002. Harold was born in the Old Cottage Hospital in San Rafael on February 9, 1909. He lived with his mother, Helen Butler Geary and late uncle, Judge Edward I. Butler while attending San Rafael High School. After graduation, he studied at the UCSF School of Pharmacy.
Harold worked for different pharmacies in San Francisco and San Rafael. He then bought the Bank Pharmacy in Fairfax in 1951. He loved the townspeople and the business flourished. He retired in the early 1970's and loved to travel with his wife, the late Catherine Howard Geary. Harold was a charter member of the Serra Club of Marin and a past member of Sons in Retirement and the San Rafael Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine, daughter Joanna Geary Cutler and son Don Geary. He is survived by his son Stephen Geary and his wife Vicky Geary, daughter Helen Marie Geary, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a Vigil at Keaton Mortuary, 1022 E Street, San Rafael on Thursday, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission San Rafael Archangel, 1104 5th Avenue, San Rafael. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, CA 94925 or St. Vincent's School for Boys, 1 Saint Vincent's Drive, San Rafael, CA.
