Glenn S. Rasmussen Dies At 59
Glenn S. Rasmussen M.D., a resident of Novato for the past seven years, died yesterday in a San Francisco hospital following a short illness.
Rasmussen, 59, a physician and surgeon for 23 years, had offices at 1615 Hill Road in Novato.
He was a 1950 graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School, San Bernardino County. Before establishing a practice in Novato, he had offices in Kenansville, N.C. for eight years. Prior to that he accepted a residency at Bellvue Hospital in New York.
He was a fellow of the American College of Physicians and Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons and the Marin Surgical Society.
He also was an elder of the Seventh-Day Adventist church of Novato and a registered geophysicist of the U. S. Government. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie B. Rasmussen of Novato; two children, Vickie G. Hagele of Angwin, Napa County, and Frank Rasmussen of Novato; a brother Stanley Rasmussen of Adelphia, Md., and a sister, Evelyn Russell of Silver Spring, Md.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Novato Seventh-Day Adventist Church, San Marin Drive at Simmons Lane. Friends may call at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael until 9 p.m. tomorrow.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was a native of Chicago, Illinois; survived by nine nieces and nephews.
