Mrs. Hannah Wall, Oldest S. F. Woman, Is Dead at 96
Mrs. Hannah Elliott Wall, the oldest white woman born in San Francisco, died on Monday at Victoria, B. C., where she was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Pollock.
Mrs. Wall, born in June, 1852, was widely known throughout the Bay Area and Puget Sound. She lived for nearly 50 years in San Francisco and later moved to the Northwest. For the last several years she had resided in Seattle with her son, George Wall. She was a member of the Eastern Star and had moved up through every chair in that organization.
Surviving besides Mrs. Pollock and George Wall, are two sons, Edward Wall of Oakland, and Richard Wall of San Anselmo.
