Zoa P. Hughes
A graveside funeral service for Zoa P. Hughes of Willits, a former San Rafael resident for many years, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery Chapel, San Rafael.
Mrs. Hughes died Friday at a convalescent hospital in Willits following a long illness. She was 85.
She was born in Indiana and moved to Arizona as a youngster. She later moved to Lake County and then to Marin, where she lived for many years. She moved to Ukiah about 20 years ago. In 1976, she moved to Willits.
Mrs. Hughes was a dressmaker and worked for Alberts and Macy’s department stores when she lived in Marin.
She is survived by a daughter, Ray O. Fahle of Willits; a brother, Stanley Lathen of Vallejo; two sisters, Nona Satt and Sadie Jeanette Dewey, both of San Rafael; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
