John T. Phelan Jr.
Novato resident

John Thomas Phelan Jr., a longtime Novato resident, died on Monday, June 28, 1993, at his home after a long illness. He was 46.

Mr. Phelan was born in Omaha, Neb., and moved to Novato when he was 14. He graduated from Novato High School.

He worked as a cook at Denny’s in Novato before he grew ill.

He is survived by his mother, Madelyn Phelan of Novato and his sister, Lynn Phelan of Petaluma.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.

The family requests memorial donations to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Ave., Corte Madera 94925 or to a favorite charity.
