Ruth D. Langdon Rite Set
Private funeral will be held for Ruth Dunham Langdon, a longtime resident of Inverness and the first president of the Inverness Garden Club.
Mrs. Langdon died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital after a long illness. She was 90.
Born in Oakland, Mrs. Langdon lived in Inverness for about 40 years and was a member of the garden club since it was founded in 1934. She was one of the founders of the Primrose Tea, a yearly social event of the garden club that is still held.
She was the wife of the late J. G. Langdon, a retired Army colonel.
Surviving are four daughters, Jane D. Landon of Inverness, Ann L. Cesana of Los Angeles, Mary L. Alvord of Mill Valley and Ruth Alden Langdon of New York. She also leaves four grandchildren.
