R. F. Baker Dies At 53
R. Frank Baker, widely known in the field of legal publications and a Mill Valley resident since 1940, died unexpectedly Monday at his home at 260 Monte Vista avenue. He was 53.
He was vice-president of the San Francisco law book publishing firm of Bancroft-Whitney and had been associated with the firm since 1934. He was a graduate of Stanford Law School. He was a native of Minnesota.
He is survived by is wife, Hellen, his mother, Mrs. J. Henry Baker, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Baxter Davis II, all of Mill Valley, another daughter, Mrs. Charles A. Greenwood of Bel Air, and four (sic) grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held today at the Russell and Gooch chapel in Mill Valley with interment in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
