FIRPO, Marie B. - Passed away peacefully to her eternal reward on October 30, 2002 at Nazareth House. Loving wife of the late Frank Firpo, Sr.; cherished daughter of the late Josephine and George Lucy; beloved sister of the late Rev. George F. Lucy, S.J. Survived by her devoted sons Frank (Sharon) of San Bruno and George (Patricia, deceased) of Walnut Creek, adored "Grammie" of Carla DiMaggio, Tony and T.J. Firpo, Julie Bohn, and Janet Baird, great "Grammie" of Gianna and Robert DiMaggio, Brendan and Kevin Bohn, and Jason Firpo. A native San Franciscan, Marie was born on June 12, 1908 and raised "south of the slot" on "the hill" that was later to become Seals Stadium. She was a devoted and selfless homemaker to her children and grandchildren. Marie and her husband were the proprietors of Frank's Liquors at the corner of 23rd Ave. and Vicente St. in San Francisco from 1954 until their retirement in 1971. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care Marie received from the Sisters, nurses, and staff at Nazareth House where she made many friends over the past ten years. We are most grateful. Friends are invited to the Rosary at 10:45 a.m. followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 4 at Nazareth House. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. Memorial donations may be made to Nazareth House, 245 Nova Albion Way, San Rafael. CA. 94903.
