ZORA HUDSON
Memorial service for Zorra A. Hudson of Greenbrae will be held at a time and place to be announced after Aug. 6 when Rev. Todd Ewald of Holy Innocents Episcopal Parish in Corte Madera will return to his church from a vacation.
Mrs. Hudson’s family has requested the Rev. Ewald, a longtime friend, preside over the rites.
Mrs. Hudson died Monday in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was 60.
For the past 25 years, she had been office manager for the Ralph E. Murphy and Sons contracting firm of San Rafael. Her employer and family friend, Everett Murphy recalled that Mrs. Hudson “set up all the books” for the firm’s work in constructing the Independent-Journal building.
Mrs. Hudson was born in St. Helena and came to Marin County 30 years ago. She made her home at 45 Via Belardo, Apt. 7, Greenbrae. She was widowed.
She is survived by a daughter, Roxie A. Brown of Redding and five grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.
