Silvio José Argüello-Valle
Age 58. Silvio was born in León, Nicaragua on January 4, 1944 and died on April 29, 2002 in Greenbrae, California after a courageous battle with cancer. He received his law degree in 1967 from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua. He practiced law and was involved in Nicaraguan governmental affairs. He moved to Marin County in 1982 to be reunited with his siblings already living in the area. Silvio followed his entrepreneurial spirit and became an insurance professional serving the Hispanic community both as an agent and legal advisor. He enjoyed taking road trips, reading, and attending air shows. Silvio was a loving father, brother and uncle who will be missed by those who knew him. Silvio is survived by his son Silvio Federico of Nicaragua; his sisters Leslie, Norma, and Martha of California and Florida; his brothers-in-law Don and Woody; his siblings Miriam, Fabio, Danilo, Leonel, and Clemen of Nicaragua; his godson Alberto of Novato; and numerous nephews and nieces in California, Florida, and Nicaragua. A Memorial Mass will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 2nd, at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Novato.
