LARSON, Robert Fallon -- On June 23rd, 2001 at home in Sonoma. Beloved husband of Helen Millerick Larson for over 50 years; father of Paul M. Larson of Petaluma, Suzanne R. Larson of Novato, Thomas C. Larson of Sonoma and Mariellen Larson of Petaluma; father-in-law of Jeffrey Bartfeld, Rebecca Larson and Brian Abbott; grandfather of Emily, Jonathan, Spencer, Erica, Helena, Will and Wyatt. Bob attended UC Davis after serving in the WWII war effort, receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1953. He returned to UC Davis completing his masters in immunology in 1974. Bob started and ran a private veterinary practice for many years in El Cerrito, California. In the early 1970's he became a part of the Sonoma wine industry, planting grapes on the Cameros ranch of Helen's family. He and his son Tom started Sonoma Creek Winery. Bob continued to farm the family ranch with his two daughters, Suzanne and Mariellen and his son Paul. He was an extraodinary man known for his integrity, generosity and kindness. He died peacefully with grace and courage, at home surrouded by his family. A 26 year resident of Sonoma and native of Oakland, California, age 76 years. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 11:00A.M. on Thursday, June 28th, 2001 at St. Francis Catholic Church , West Napa St. and Third Street West, Sonoma. Private Inurnment.
