ROBERT A. KIMBEL

Robert Allen Kimbel, 53, of Kentfield, a sales administrator, died Wednesday at a local hospital after an illness.

Kimbel was administrator of sales for Longview Fiber in San Francisco.

He was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in psychology.

Kimbel had been a resident of Marin for about 25 years and had lived in Kentfield for 18 years after living in Mill Valley. He served as an Army officer during the Korean War.

Kimbel was a native of Denver who came with his family to the Bay Area while a child and attended schools in Oakland.

Surviving is a brother, Burt Kimbel of Vacaville.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
