MAY HEITMAN
Former seamstress
Services are tomorrow for May Heitman of San Anselmo. She died in San Rafael Monday at the Fifth Avenue Convalescent Hospital. She was 96.
The Manchester, N.H., native lived in Marin County for 40 years and worked as a seamstress until an eye problem forced her to retire while in her 80s. She was a member of the Fairfax Senior Women’s Club and the Goldenaires of San Rafael.
She moved to the convalescent hospital in May 1993.
She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Gayton of Walnut Creek, eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Services are tomorrow at 1 p.m. in Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley. Memorial contributions may be sent to Whistlestop of Marin, 930 Tamalpais Ave., San Rafael, 94901.
