Mr. Hickman Passes Away
Sausalito was in mourning at the close of the week owing to the passing away
of Mr. Louis Hickman who was beloved by all, and a great shadow of gloom was
cast over our little town. Mr. Hickman was an early resident in California, having
come from Delaware in the fifties. He was at one time the Mayor of Stockton
which town was the Hickman's home for many years. Mrs. Hickman, who has
been in Stockton since the interment on Tuesday, has returned to her home.
Several social affairs which were to have taken place early in the week were
called off in consequence of Mr. Hickman's death.
