DON C. BEAN Dies in M.V.
Don Carlos Bean, former owner of the meat department of the Efficient Market, died suddenly Sunday at his home, 208 East Strawberry drive, Mill Valley. He was 59.
A resident of Mill Valley for the past eight years, he retired about eight months age. A native of Porterville, he was a member of Santa Rosa Lodge No. 57 F. & A.M., Aahmes Temple Shrine, Oakland, Santa Rosa Scottish Rites bodies, Mill Valley post 284 American Legion and Locaust Merchants Association.
He is survived by his wife, May, and two sons, Robert D. Bean of Sacramento and Richard E. Bean of San Rafael.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eggen and Lance mortuary, 519 Mendocino avenue, Santa Rosa, under the auspices of the Santa Rosa lodge No. 57, F & AM. Interment will bea at Sunset View cemetery, Berkeley.
