PALAMEDA A. GORDON
Palameda A. Gordon, 95, of Mill Valley, died Sunday in a local convalescent hospital.
The daughter of a family that came to California from the Azores in the late 1800s, Mrs. Gordon was born in the Alameda County community of Irvington, now Fremont.
She moved to Marin about 1920 and married John Gordon, a native of Liverpool, England, and an employee on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad passenger ferry between Sausalito and San Francisco before he died in 1941.
She is survived by two sons, Laverne E. Gordon of Greenbrae and John W. Gordon of San Rafael; a daughter, Beverly Thompson of Orinda; and six grandchildren.
At her request, no services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society.
