FRANK M. HEER
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato for Frank M. Heer, former Mill Valley resident.
Mr. Heer died Monday, June 29, 1987, at a nursing home in Atascadero after a short illness. He was 83.
He was a native of South Dakota and later lived in Mill Valley, where he and his wife, the late Mae Grady Heer, rear[ed] their family. Mr. Heer managed lumber yard businesses for many years in South Dakota, Minnesota and Mill Valley.
After living in Mill Valley for about 35 years, Mr. Heer moved to Oregon and, later, Atascadero.
He is survived by his second wife, Beulah Heer of Atascadero; a daughter, Dixie Stiveson of Novato; two sons, Dean Heer and Don Heer of Kansas; two brothers, Lyle Heer of Nice, Lake County, and Edward Heer of South Dakota; two sisters, Lorraine Helfter of Minnesota and Nettie Gergen; and seven grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family asks that memorial contributions be sent to a favorite charity.
