Funeral Services Held for J. H. Rogers
The last rites were held Wednesday morning for James H. Rogers, prominent retired dairyman, at the family home, 216 Seventh St., Petaluma.
Rogers was a native of Salmon Creek, Marin county, and his parents were the late George and Mary (Buckley) Rogers. His wife was the former Elizabeth Redding, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Redding, pioneers of Marin. As a dairy rancher, Rogers made a success.
Twelve children survive: George Rogers, Charles, James; Mrs. Mary Gallagher, Mrs. Elizabeth Dolcini, Mrs. Veronica Bonini, Raymond Rogers, Miss Barbara Rogers, Thos. Rogers, Loretta Bettinelli, Mrs. Eleanor Cheda and Clarence Rogers. Twenty seven grandchildren also survive.
