Raymond J. Rogers
Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond J. Rogers, former Ignacio businessman, was offered today in Petaluma.
Rogers, 78, died Saturday at a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Novato, he had lived in Marin until five years ago when he moved to Petaluma.
Rogers had owned and operated a trucking company in Ignacio from 1923 to 1954. He was a 58-year member of Native Sons of the Golden West.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Rogers; a son, Michael Rogers of Petaluma; two daughters, Frances Black of Petaluma and Gladys Johnson of Ukiah; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
