Charles Rogers

Funeral for Charles E. Rogers, 68, former Penngrove resident, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma.

Rogers died Monday at a Napa hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Boston and received a degree in mining engineering from Harvard University.

Rogers had worked many years as a metallurgist and retired three years ago from the Union Carbide Co. He had lived in Penngrove many years before moving to Napa. He was a member of the Harvard Club.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; a son, William E. Rogers of Napa, and his mother, Laura Rogers of Kokomo, Ind.

Burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park. The family prefers contributions to the American Cancer Society or Penngrove Community Church.
