Mrs. Mildred R. Tew, 58, of Greenbrae and formerly of the Golf Tract, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness.

A native of Pennsylvania, she had lived in Marin for about 10 years with her husband, Col. Ralph B. Tew, U.S. Air Force (ret.). The colonel was stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base between 1941 and 1944, then returned to the county in 1948. The couple lived at the Golf Tract in east San Rafael before moving to their present home, 37 Brentano Way, Greenbrae.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tew is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Madeline Weiss of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and Mrs. Margaret Eldean of Scottsdale, Ariz., and a brother, William Richmond of West Pittston, Pa.
