MERCEDES F. JORDAN
Mercedes F. Jordan of Mill Valley died yesterday in a local hospital following a long illness. She was 46.
A native of Bend, Ore., she had lived in California and Marin County for 11 years. For the past three years she had worked as a receptionist for a Mill Valley dentist. She was a member of the Women’s Club of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mill Valley and treasurer of the church’s confraternity of the Christian Doctrine.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by a daughter, Susanne Jordan and a son, Richard Jordan, both of Mill Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene O’Sullivan and Mrs. Frank Conner and three brothers, Chester, Dick and Gordon Mayrand, all of the state of Washington.
Recitation of the Rosary will be tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. A Requiem Mass will be offered Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper states that Mercedes Florence Jordan was the daughter of Mrs. Barbara Mayrand of Washington.
