Mrs. Sarah Jordan Dies In Novato
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Jordan, mother of Mrs. Ellouise Neal of Novato, died at her daughter’s home yesterday at the age of 73, after long illness.
Mrs. Jordan moved to her daughter’s home at 850 Cypress avenue last February. She previously lived at La Grange, Stanislaus County. A native of Arkansas, she came to California in 1942.
Her late husband, David S. Jordan, was a farmer. Survivors besides Mrs. Neal are another daughter, Mrs. Opal Barnes; four sisters and a brother, Mrs. V. M. Goodwin of Sunnyvale, Mrs. Janie Duquette of Long Beach, Mrs. Stella Anderson of Missouri, Mrs. Emma Neely and Raymond Haley of Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church in La Grange. Interment will be in Plainsberg Cemetery, Merced. Keaton’s Mortuary is handling local arrangements.
