OSCAR C. JOHNSON
Oscar C. Johnson of San Francisco, father of F. Walter Johnson of San Rafael, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 1988, at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. He was 89.
Mr. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of San Francisco. He was a survivor of the 1906 earthquake and fire, often telling stories about his experiences.
He was a partner in a furniture moving business, O'Neill and Johnson in San Francisco. He retired more than 20 years ago.
His wife, Emma A. Johnson, died previously, as did a daughter, Margaret Arata.
He is survived by another son, Dr. Carl J. Johnson of San Francisco; a stepdaughter, Ophelia Hicks of Concord; six grandsons and two great-grandsons.
Private services have been held. Inurnment was in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.
