Death of R. Hume Lucas, Jr.
The death of R. H. Lucas, Jr., which occurred at his father’s residence yesterday morning, was a sad blow to his family and the many friends who care left to lament his loss. The deceased contracted a severe attack of pneumonia, from which he never rallied. He was born of a distinguished Southern family and at the time of his decease was 45 years of age. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon next from the Episcopal Church in San Rafael. The remains will be conveyed to Tamalpais reception vault, for burial in Oakland.
